A smart 10 day France route
For many American travelers, the best first 10 day France itinerary is Paris, Provence, and the French Riviera. It gives you the capital, countryside, food and wine, villages, coastline, and a little glamour without trying to cover the whole country.
The key is pacing. You do not want to lose the trip to transfers. WAYTRULY can use private drivers, trains, and flights strategically so each move earns its place.
Days 1 to 3: Paris
Arrive in Paris with a private airport transfer from CDG or Orly. Keep the first day gentle: hotel check-in, a walk, early dinner, and time to recover from the overnight flight.
Use the next two days for the Eiffel Tower area, Louvre or Musee d’Orsay, Le Marais, Saint-Germain-des-Pres, Montmartre, a Seine moment, and one private experience such as a food tour, fashion appointment, cooking class, or Versailles half-day.
Days 4 to 6: Provence
Take a train or private transfer toward Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, or Marseille depending on your hotel. Use a private driver for Luberon villages, Saint-Remy, Les Baux-de-Provence, Avignon, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Aix markets, or lavender fields in season.
This is where private drivers shine. The beauty of Provence is spread out, and the best day is usually a sequence of villages, views, wine, and a long lunch.
Days 7 to 9: French Riviera
Continue to Nice, Cannes, Antibes, Monaco, or Saint-Tropez. Private driver days can include Eze, Monaco, Saint-Paul-de-Vence, Grasse, Cap-Ferrat, Cannes, Antibes, and coastal viewpoints.
Keep one slower day for beach club time, shopping, a boat day, or simply enjoying the hotel.
Day 10: Departure
Depart from Nice, Marseille, or Paris. If your international flight is from Paris, consider returning the night before rather than risking a tight same-day connection.
